If one has been to San Benito Adult & Geriatric Medicine on a Tuesday or Thursday, chances are you may have been evaluated by one of San Benito’s very own.

Rolando Longoria, MPAS, PA-C was born and raised in San Benito. Longoria grew up as a migrant and entered the Army after graduating from San Benito High School in 1989.

While in the Army, Longoria served as a combat medic before being honorably discharged in 1992. It was then that he enrolled at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) at Galveston and would graduate as a Physician Assistant in 1999. He then went on to receive his Masters degree in Physician Assistant Studies and with a specialization in internal medicine in 2001 from the University of Nebraska.

“We decided to open this office with Dr. Pedro E. McDougal, he’s a board certified internal medicine doctor, our interest, and geriatric specialist,” said Longoria. “We opened on March 1, we just wanted to bring internal medicine to an area where I’m from and still live.”
