Janie C. Perez, 59, of San Antonio/San Benito, Texas, entered into eternal rest on Friday, March 14, 2014 Life Care Hospital in San Antonio, Texas.

Janie had very strong faith and devotion to her husband and family. Knowing her was to love her. She will be deeply missed.

Janie was preceded in death by her husband, Roque Perez; mother, Virginia De La Cerda; father-in-law, Praxedis Perez; and sister-in-law, Maria Isabel (Rafael) Hernandez.

She is survived by her sons, Roque Jr.(Sonia), Roman, and Lee Roy (Nicole); her grandchildren, the loves of her life: Kevin, Matthew, and Kaylie; her sisters: Dora Benavides, Lulu Cavazos, Gloria Martinez, Stephanie De La Cerda, and Eva Guiragossian; mother-in-law, Severita Perez; sister-in-law, Rosario (Jesse) Romo; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 22, 2014, with a memorial service to follow at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito.
