Demonstrators protest border militarization

The rain could not keep demonstrators hailing from all parts of the Valley from making their voices heard.

A plethora of demonstrators treaded to the Cameron County Annex Building in San Benito on Thursday to protest an additional U.S.-Mexican border fence. In between chants of “Si se puede” and “education, not deportation,” speakers addressed the crowd at the event, which was entitled, National Day of Action Against Border Militarization.
