Congressman Filemon Vela’s office organized a “Day of Action” rally against border militarization on Thursday. The event was held at the Cameron County Annex Building in San Benito off Expressway 83 and Williams Road. Seen are protesters who participated in the rally.
The rain could not keep demonstrators hailing from all parts of the Valley from making their voices heard.
A plethora of demonstrators treaded to the Cameron County Annex Building in San Benito on Thursday to protest an additional U.S.-Mexican border fence. In between chants of “Si se puede” and “education, not deportation,” speakers addressed the crowd at the event, which was entitled, National Day of Action Against Border Militarization.
