A one vehicle crash claimed the life of 56-year-old Los Fresnos resident Ruben Garcia-Rios on Wednesday evening. Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the accident; they say Alcohol and the driver not being secured by safety belt were most likely contributing factors. 
According to DPS officials, a Black 2008 Chevrolet
Silverado was traveling south on FM 1575 (Old Alice Rd) at an unsafe speed and as a result, lost control and rolled over. The driver was partially ejected and pronounced deceased at the scene.
In light of this accident, officers urge the public to be more aware of wearing safety belts when operating any kind of motor vehicle.
