Although, Oscar never had children of his own; he was quick to tell you that his many nephews and nieces were his children.
Oscar was a carpenter by trade; however those close to him knew he was handy with any tool. A native Texan, he lived all over Texas but always called San Benito home. He enjoyed helping his family and friends with all kinds of home repairs but his true passion was fishing. Regardless if it was fresh or salt water he enjoyed the tranquility of the outdoors. Oscar was never short of fish stories, whether he was on the boat or on the pier with those he loved.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Calidad Home Health Services for all the wonderful care they provided to Oscar in his final days.
Memorial services will be held at Thomae Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas on Sunday April 17, 2016. Viewing will be from 10 a.m.-6 p.m., with a chapel service at 3 p.m.
