Daniel (Danny) V. Silva

SAN BENITO—Daniel (Danny) V. Silva, born on November 3, 1944 in San Benito, Texas to parents, David and Daniel Silva 001Tomasa Silva, passed away on Tuesday, March 2, 2016. He was 71-years-old.
Danny was a loving grandfather who cheered at Jenessa’s softball games and Markie’s football games. They were his pride and joy who were spoiled by grandpa. Danny also loves his San Benito Greyhounds and never missed a game.
Mr. Silva is preceded in death by his parents, David Silva and Tomasa V. Silva; two sisters Maria Tomasita S. Garcia and Dilia V. Silva; his father-in-law Santiago Perez and mother-in-law Francisca C. Perez.
Survivors include his loving and devoted wife Olga P. Silva; his son Mark James (Venessa) Silva and his grandchildren his pride and joy Mark James Silva, Jr. and Jenessa Kaylen Silva; as well as seven siblings David V. (Consuelo) Silva, Delia S. (Reynaldo) Gonzalez, Dionicio V. (Maria Elena) Silva, Delfina S. (Victor) Rodriguez, Dimas V. Silva and Diego V. Silva, all from San Benito, Texas. He is also survived by Diana S. (Romeo) Benavidez from Holland, Michigan; sister-in-law Ninfa P. Fonseca, and brothers-in-law David Fonseca of San Benito, TX, and Enrique Garcia of El Campo,TX.
Serving as pallbearers will be Diego Silva Jr., Dionico M. Silva, Reynaldo Gonzalez Jr., Mel Sanchez, Ramiro Guajardo, and Eric Guajardo.
Visiting hours was held on Friday, March 4, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. and concluding at 9:00 p.m., with a rosary to begin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday at the San Benito Funeral Home Chapel, 1400 West Highway 77, San Benito, Texas 78586.
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Catholic Church, 1300 Combes St., San Benito, Texas. Interment will then follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito.
