At the start of this year, the State of Texas changed up their laws pertaining to guns in a very noticeable way. In passing the new open carry law, it became legal for anybody who had a concealed gun permit to openly carry their weapon on a holster. Well, it looks like the City of San Benito will be taking the necessary steps to prevent such a thing in their City meetings.

Why would the city strip anyone of their second amendment?

…much needed ordinance but, what about passing an ordinance that keeps homeowners from parking on public sidewalks or requiring traffic to not block business’ entries and exits or requiring residents to not dump their used mattresses, old and used furniture, etc. Keep San Benito Beautiful!!!

Furthermore, SB News, any updates on the hotel and the museums along a boardwalk? Needless to say, lately the SB News has been so inconsistent in reporting news that affects every taxpayer of this city and school district with little or no follow up/updates.
