After a four year sojourn of priesthood in Rio Hondo, Father Rigobert Poulang Mot will be returning to the Republic of Cameroon, but not before receiving the key to the City.
Flanked by the honor guard of the Rio Hondo High School Air Force JROTC, the ceremony drew a vast crowd of congregants and city officials Tuesday evening. Mayor Gustavo Olivares presented the award:
“With this key to the city, Father Rigo you are welcomed back to Rio Hondo, Texas whenever you want,” Mayor Olivares said.
