The Chamber of Commerce will soon be attempting to breathe life back into the Business/Home of the Month program in the coming weeks, as was discussed at this past Monday night’s meeting.
In order to cover the entire city for judging more effectively, the city will be divided into sections. The sections will then be placed on a rotation, board members said.
Among other things, the Chamber has also set January 9, 2016 as a date for the “I’m Losing It in San Benito” Health Expo. The expo is set to host various local vendors, a 5K run, Zumba session, body mass index recordings, blood pressure readings, and vision screenings. Another avenue the Chamber may be exploring in the future in regards to health may be a community workout center. Although the project is in its early stages of development, different locations were mentioned that would provide the best use of space for the facility.
