At the age of 10, Dillan Tatum admits he was not happy with his lifestyle, saying he was way overweight at a total of 170 pounds.
Five years later, however, Tatum is a solid 150 pounds and just claimed two gold medals at the Kids World International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Championships in Ontario, California.
“What prompted me to do this was to find a new activity because I was unhealthy and overweight,” said Tatum. “Now I put most of my focus into Jiu-Jitsu… At least two to three hours each day,” he added. As one of the largest competitions in the world, Tatum competed with over 1,000 other competitors and was able to bring home the gold medal in the No-GI division as well as the GI division.
