A former SBCISD school board member and her older brother found themselves behind bars this weekend after allegedly being involved in a “physical altercation” at a family residence.
According to San Benito Police, officers responded to a residence on the 100 block of Lantana Circle at around 11:39 p.m. on Sunday, July 26 in reference to a Family Disturbance call.
According to the reporting party, a verbal disagreement between him and 39-year old Juan Aguilera had ensued, at which point 23-year old June Aguilera intervened. At this point, a physical altercation ensued between the brother and sister, a press release stated.
After a brief investigation, Juan Aguilera, who had left the area, was detained by officers at a traffic stop, while June (his sister) was arrested at the scene on charges of Assault Class A- Family Violence.

Chuy must be so proud of his kids, probably smiles when he sees them because they remind him so much of himself.
Does she have a black eye? Would hate to think her brother hit her and caused it.
This is a personal family matter. Stop with the rock throwing, we all one day will have to answer for our unkindness. God Bless San Benito.
It became public information when they got themselves arrested, which is why the News reported it. Hopefully, lessons have been learned to avoid their personal affairs from spilling into the public eye again in the future.
There’s no need to make fun. These things can happen to anyone. May God bless her and guide her through the justice system. It’s a long road. I don’t wish it on anyone.

You should stop concerning yourself with issues you can control and don’t directly affect you. You should ask yourself, when was the last time you got a raise.
You should be pay attention and put more effort into all the mess that’s going on in your district. The last time I checked, Los Fresnos is way ahead of the curve and makes San Benito look horrible. What you should be talking about is how to hold your school board members accountable for the disaster that going to our district. Wait, let me guess, it’s Yiliana’s fault!!! Is very apparent and sad that these board members have no shame and trust me THEY WILL PAY for the harm their causing our children for their personal gain…
Apple doesn’t fall far from the tree! At least she didn’t bite his ear off.
Not that I’m trying to defend anyone but wasn’t it not too long ago that someone mentioned something about the son of a SB commissioner committing a crime but the it was not reported in the newspaper. I believe the editor stated something to the effect that it was not relevant. How is this relevant? She’s no longer a school board member, so why is this worth mentioning, but, not the commissioner’s criminal son? I really don’t care but seems to be skewed views from the newspaper.
What a shame that SBPD is not out there doing more important things, like rid its city of the infestation of pedophilia.
We all pay! Her day has come. With a criminal record, TEA, will screen and monitor her if she decides to become a teacher in Texas. I hear there will be changes in Los Fresnos too.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
This is gonna be good; can’t wait to read these comments. Ready, set, go!
