After leading the San Benito Greyhound football team the last few years, running back Gabriel Vasquez and defensive end Christopher Padilla will be teaming up again at the next level of competition. Both athletes officially signed their letter of intent on Monday to play football at Graceland University next year.
The signing comes as little surprise as both athletes have compiled dominant high school careers that saw them each anchor their respective side of the ball. “They’re leadership has been unbelievable. Both of them do the right thing on and off the field… I’m honored that these guys are getting a chance at the next level, but we are definitely going to miss them,” said first year Greyhound Head Football Coach Dan Gomez.
