Indian Lake gets new Police Chief

A new Interim Police Chief has been named in Indian Lake. After speculation of the possible termination of the Police Department, the town has hired Bill Roach, the former director of the Criminal Justice Institute at Texas State College in Weslaco.

After the resignation of former Police Chief John Chambers, Indian Lake was left with only one full-time officer, putting the future of the Police Department in jeopardy. Sgt. Freddy Avalos was the last remaining officer before the announcement of Roach being hired and offered his support for the decision.
