The newly-formed San Benito Chamber of Commerce could have a new home before the end of February.
Chamber President Lionel Betancourt said “We are looking at all options.” Betancourt added, “we’ve been looking in other places. There are several locations we are trying to work with and see if anybody would be willing to assist us with getting a spot. We do need a place to operate and we do need a permanent person answering the phones and keeping us organized. We want to start pursuing that.”
Meanwhile, the group is establishing procedure. “We have all the schedules for membership dues,” said Betancourt. He further stated that the group now has a Post Office Box and a logo. “We are starting to look like an organization, and everyone seems to be anxious to get things going soon.”
Furthermore, Betancourt said, “We’ll have a website shortly, and we’ll have … seminars that we want to do.”
