Elizabeth Hernandez

God has called Betty to join His holy presence and rest from her earthly suffering. On November 12, 2014, Elizabeth Hernandez, or Betty for those who loved & knew her, took her last breath surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born on October 15, 1975 to Benito and Elizabeth Garcia and was sister to Noemi Garcia and Rosalva Hernandez. Betty was the middle child, the quiet and always understanding one. She leaves behind two beautiful daughters Lilian (12) and Marisol (7) Hernandez.

Betty was an active member in church (I.E.C.E.) and lead by example always singing His blessings and suffering her trial without a single complain. When asked, “How are you?” She always replied, “I’m fine.” God chose her and her late husband Carlos Hernandez to leave us an example that God has a plan and His plans are always perfect.

Those that survive her are many to mention, from her father’s side the Benavidez family and her mother’s side Garcia, Carrillo, Martinez, Amescua families. Her immediate nieces and nephews Jesus Jr., Leonardo, Yesenia and Noely Rocha and Israel Jr., Benito Asael, Roel and Leonel Hernandez will hold her dear to their heart. Loved by all and now missed by all of us, Betty Hernandez is now triumphant in God’s path of life!

Visitation was held on Friday, November 14, 2014 from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home.
