The South Texas Thunder softball team will be rolling to Kissimmee, Florida to play for the United States Specialty Association (USSSA) National title, as they recently advanced by winning the USSSA Texas South Championship.

“It’s a great accomplishment, it’s something we’ve been working on since last year,” said Coach Mando Ruvio. “It’s the first step towards our ultimate goal, which is nationals.”

The group is a select travel team and consists of 11 girls – Rubi Martinez, Elyssa Ruvio, Emily Delgado, Jovanna Balboa, Emily Ruiz, Kylie Garza, Angel Lynn Sepulveda, Kylie Sanchez, Natalie Martinez, Angelina Garcia and Cassandra Guzman – whom are eight years of age and younger (8u).
