The 2014 STAAR (State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness) performance results for the San Benito CISD have been released.
As a district, SBCISD scored 67 in Reading, 71 in Math, 70 in Writing, 76 in Science and 62 in Social Studies. The results for the state of Texas were not available as of deadline.
At the elementary level, students tested in Reading, Math, Writing and Science. Fred Booth scored 68 in Reading, 65 in Math, 77 in Writing and 70 in Science. In comparison to 2013, Fred Booth scored 77 in Reading, 79 in Math, 85 in Writing and 74 in Science.

@Searaven: All the scores improved??? what scores were you looking at… go back and read again.
Only two schools showed improvement in all 4 areas… Without a leader to steer the ship, this is exactly what happens. No surprise… However, there needs to be a drastic curriculum change. I am thankful my daughter is now done with her schooling. Congrats to all Graduates…
Now, let everyone FOCUS ON ACADEMICS!! All the students now must come first before POLITICS!
What is happening at Frank Roberts ES? A 35 in science is unacceptable.
While everyone was focused on Mr. Limon, he was out one year and all the scores improved. During the previous years not so good. Is it just me or good grades the core for the success of the students.
