Local woman arrested for assault, ramming car into couple’s vehicle at drive-thru

A San Benito woman was arrested on Saturday, May 31, for allegedly assaulting a couple at a local drive-thru, where the suspect is also accused of repeatedly ramming her car into the victims’ vehicle.

According to a San Benito Police Department news release, SBPD officers responded to a drive-thru located on the 100 block of East Stenger Street at 10:04 a.m. Saturday in reference to an assault.

Upon arrival, the police made contact with a 61-year-old man and a 55-year-old woman, who identified the suspect as 48-year-old Minerva Weaver of San Benito
