The Boys and Girls Club of San Benito will host an open house event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 7 at the Club, which is located at 410 Stookey Rd.
According to Club Director Veronica Rodgers, the purpose of the open house is to invite the general public to witness the work the Club in hopes of inspiring some to become donors of the nonprofit organization.
“We’re just opening the club doors to the community so they can actually see where we are and a little bit about what we do here,” said Rodgers. “We are going to have interactive activities with the parents and the kids so that they get a little taste of some of the activities that we do. They’ll get a tour of the facility. It’s really just to bring awareness to the club that we’re here. Maybe we’ll get a few donors and renew the trust from the community as a whole.”
