There’s no crowd like a “Sweet” San Benito crowd.
Raucous, supportive and LOUD, the fans and big-game atmosphere combined with a textbook Lady ’Hound performance to trip up Los Fresnos in a 7-0 win in their 5A Regional Quarterfinal one-game playoff.
With the victory, San Benito (27-4) is back in the Regional Semifinals, or Sweet 16, for the sixth in the program’s history. The girls will face either San Antonio Southwest or Cibolo Steele next weekend at a site to be determined. A fantastic campaign for the Lady Falcons ended at 25-8.
