After three years of teaming on the Greyhound varsity soccer squad, San Benito High School seniors Fernando Sanchez and Adrian Estrada will now take their talents to Wiley College in Waco after accepting scholarship offers on Tuesday afternoon.

The teammates are the first two to accept scholarships after seeing five of their teammates make the jump to the next level last year. With head soccer coach Jesus Ochoa as well as Greyhound Athletic Director Dan Gomez on hand, the San Benito standouts made it official Tuesday by signing on the dotted line.

“I think with their dedication and passion for the game, they will be just fine playing in college,” said Ochoa.
