    To Hidden Truth:

No I am not going to put a lid on it. I am so disappointed that teacher’s/employees can’t speak up for fear of retaliation. I am tired that people get upset because you don’t choose to support their candidate. I am tired of the waste of taxpayers monies, I want to know the allegations against Mr. Limon and know if their was justification for suspension and payment for all attny. fees into investigation, I am wanting to find out more about the insurance letter. I want to know if the clinic is operating soundly. I am tired about a board president not cooperating with media and continually giving a “no comment” about issues. Etc. Etc. Etc.

Even though I am tired about several issues with SBCISD; I am staying here in San Benito and I hope and pray that Medrano, Leal, Padilla, and Mendez win. And if Mendez doesn’t win; hope it’s Salinas, Weaver, or Rodriguez.

Like I said before; I struggle like everyone else; I want fairness and for board members to make decisions in the best interest of the district, the administrators, the teachers, paraprofessionals, maintenance/transportation workers, taxpayers, and of course, our students.

Thank you Bob/Sandra Tumberlinson for all your support that you have given to the community, to the countless hrs. in committees such as the historical society, the Kiwanis, the veteran’s committee, etc.

With this said, does that mean I am not thankful to other persons that do the same? Of course I am thankful! Persons like Rene Garcia, Lionel Bentancourt, Zeke Luna, Joe/Ana Ruiz, Celeste Sanchez, Mario Medrano, Pete Claudio, Josie Cantu, Mila Salinas, etc. etc. etc.

My point is that in Sandra/Bob Tumberlinson’s letter they are stating that they support Medrano, Mendez, Padilla, Leal because they have attained a degree or have some college, have jobs, do community service, financially stable. They are not stating that the other candidates don’t qualify to be school board members what so ever. She is stating that her candidates of choice make the best candidates and why.

When there is a position posted and one of the qualifications is to have a college degree. Applicants will apply and the interviewer will pick the best candidate. That is how I look at it; Sandra/Bob are supporting the best candidates that they feel will do a good job as school board member.

Having attained a degree is very rewarding and was glad to read that some of the other candidates that filed to run for school board have a college degree,

And to Hidden Truth: Michael Rodriguez with SB News is not on anybody’s side. What he stated about other side saying the same thing is accurate. Keep reporting SB News! Great Job!

Thank you for reading my long Blog.

At this point there is nothing you can say that can reverse the message that this letter implied. I can’t believe that you along with whomever is involved condone what this letter says. First, not all that was written by Bob and Sandra Tumberlinson is true, but yet you still allow yourself to be used by these people who have no respect for the citizens of San Benito. You all should be ashamed of yourselves for trying to justify what was written, but if you want continue to ridicule yourself on this blog go right ahead. Everyone who read the letter knows what you and your party stand for, and it is not good for SBCISD.

Thank You Mr. Editor for always reporting the news as it is.

I read the letter that was addressed to Fun and Sun Neighbors. In that letter there is absolutely no bashing, malicious dialog toward another board member what so ever. From what I read in the letter she is promoting candidates that have a higher education, have good jobs, own their homes, and are not struggling financially that she knows of.

After having read the letter circulating by Mr. Tumberlinson and Sandra (who is an employee of SBCISD and thinks its ok to bash a board member) I am confident I made the right choice. That letter brought to surface what they stand for, I was blinded by them, but no more. All of you the ones stated on the letter have stable jobs?, I beg to differ, where is Oscar currently employed?

To Mr. Editor, If you want to change the perception that citizens have for you being with the minority board members, then I challenge you to write an article regarding this letter. (Or are they telling you not to jeopordize their election by exposing them?) I am certain a more reputable media source will do a report on this. Sure it got on the SBN, but only as a letter to the editor. It’s all over facebook!
I am sure you are going to come up with some cantankerous or sarcastic remark (as you usually do), but I’ve stated my 2 cents and will not entertain your reply.

Make the right choce San Benito! Don’t vote for candidates who think it is ok to social profile or sterotype people.

    1. Members of the faction you oppose have said the same thing about this newspaper and its employees, myself included, for years. Hearing it from the likes of you (and the “citizens” whose “perception” you represented here) has served only as validation that we’re doing our job now that the people you support are in office and are also being held accountable. But before you take that last sip of Kool-Aid, consider my response to your request for an article about the letter you’re referring to:

      According to your warped logic:
If I accept your challenge, then “Hidden Truth” dictates what we print.

If I don’t accept your challenge, then your “perception” is correct.

Decisions, decisions. How about this: The San Benito News will continue to determine what we print regardless of misguided political pressure from a nameless lackey. After all, the truth, in your case, is not so hidden.

“(who is an employee of SBCISD and thinks its ok to bash a board member)” -Hidden Truth

Whether an employee of the district or not:
I have the right to praise someone for the great work they do (ex Teachers of the year).
I have the right to do the opposite for the lack of great/good/procutive work they do (ex SBCISD School Board President).

Good people to some, perhaps many, but in reference to the SBCISD – Mr. T, Chuy, Yliana are all one in the same – out to benefit themselves and the circle they associate with, with no moral/ethical regard to the SBCISD the SBCISD students, or the city/community of San Benito.

Looking good San Bene….now lets see if you all can get that same amount of votes on Saturday.

Time for a change at ALL the positions up for election. A friend of mine did not vote for the incumbents but voted.
