The San Benito Lady ’Hounds will face Sharyland in a best-of-three playoff series this weekend.
While the second round usually means a trip north, the San Benito Lady ’Hounds won’t have to go far for their next postseason test this time around.
District 30-5A runner-up Sharyland comes calling this weekend as the Lady ’Hounds (25-4) open a best-of-three series against the Lady Rattlers in the area round of the Class 5A softball playoffs.
Game 1 will be played at 6 p.m. Friday night at Sharyland High. The series then shifts to Lady ’Hound Field on Saturday for Game 2, scheduled for a 5 p.m. start. Should a third and decisive game be necessary, it would be played 30 minutes after the completion of Game 2.
