San Benito High School golfers Emma Valle and Francisco Guerra are preparing to compete at the Region IV Golf Tournament in Kerrville next week.
This is familiar territory for Emma Valle.
The 17-year-old junior Lady ’Hound golfer secured her second consecutive District 31-5A title at the Tierra Del Sol Golf Course in Pharr, where the district golf tourney was held April 7-8.
Shooting 79 on Monday and 87 on Tuesday, Valle won the first place medal with a 166 total – this after she had just recovered from a wrist injury.
