Flag football league opening ceremonies promise NFL presence, large turnout

NFL Flag Football League logo-3-16-14 copyThe San Benito NFL Flag Football League is currently in the planning stages of what may be a heavily-attended debut for the organization’s opening ceremonies.

League representative Sal Mendoza confirmed on Thursday, March 13, the attendance of four NFL players at the event, which is scheduled for 9 a.m. Saturday, March 29, at the San Benito Municipal Park off of Stookey Road.

Mendoza identified Justin Tryon currently a free agent cornerback who recently played for the New York Giants; Miami Dolphins wide receiver Rishard Matthews, New York Jets running back Alex Green and New Orleans Saints cornerback Trevin Wade as the NFL players expected to be on-hand.
