ElectionsThe Cameron County March Primary Elections for the Democratic and Republican parties may have passed Tuesday, but a number of posts remain in contention.

There are at least seven runoff elections are now slated in Cameron County races. Cameron County Elections Administrator Christopher J. Davis reminded Wednesday that a candidate must get at least 50 percent plus one vote in order to avoid a runoff election—this in races of three candidates or more.

“In a race with two people, obviously the winner takes all,” explained Davis. “In a race with three or more, you need a majority of the vote to avoid a runoff.”

Obvious, if you track back to Medrano’s past election’s his political ethics is nothing to be impressed with or worth being associated with.. Its sad the levels of negative political antiques he goes to for an unpaid political position. Trust me when i tell you, i carry 200 plus votes and Tomberlison puppets are not receiving 1.. My votes for Huerta, Papas, Benavides!!!! Trust me folks these guys are the real deal and have our children’s interest at stake..

RB- Refer back to my response to Medrano’s friend “Rosie”. It’s only a matter of time before his political stunts are exposed. Makes you wonder if it position is really an “unpaid” position.

They should focus on the children and teachers of our school district.

We need new blood and a new direction for the SBCISD.

Get Your butt out and vote people for a change.

@ richard…..I agree with you about Chuy being on the posters instead of his daughter….he runs the show through his daughter. Be cause all she says is AUH AUH AUH AUH everytime she speaks, which is the majority of the time….just pay attention next time she speaks or trys to talk
As far as Papas….He moved back to SB alittle over a tear ago and is renting his house in Mcallen….

Signs all over town. I think Chuy should have his picture on the sign not June or least a picture of the two of them. Papas the new picture is much improved. Our beautiful city is so decorated with such colorful signs and pictures that I don’t even notice the trash piles that haven’t been picked up by our city crews. I so look forward to this time of year. However, my favorite signs are the ones without pictures.

I couldn’t help but snicker at Pappas ad that ran in the weekend edition of the News. I couldn’t help but notice that he has the audacity to list his Mom’s residence on FM 732 as his address. Why don’t you list your real address Mr. Pappas, it’s no secret your permanent residence is in McAllen? Being honest & straightforward would have served you better, not this obvious intentional deceitness on your part.
