Catholics around the world will be observing Ash Wednesday today, which celebrates the start of Lent.
Catholic churches around the world will be holding services today in celebration, and San Benito will not be the exception.
St. Benedict’s Catholic Church, located at 351 S. Bowie St. in San Benito will be holding services at 7 a.m., noon and 6 p.m. with ashes being distributed immediately following the 7 p.m. mass and ending at 9 p.m.
