Comment about federal funds? Because you are not who you say you are.
On Gantt: the board paid him to leave. It’s over.
Continuing investigation… You sure know a lot of the issues going on

Survey is a joke. I would love to see who came up with this? School board? Champion? Administration? I would also love to see comments.

    Re: Wilma Smitter
Let me guess , the professional software developer would be no one else but Smitter. But wait a minute, there’s no federal funds to pay him at this point. On another note, maybe someone should ask for – public request – on the committee results that hired Gannt.
Hopefully with the continuing investigation going on there would be some light shed on all the wrong doing in Central Office! How some people sleep at night I have no idea,..

    Disappointed in the coach survey.
I wanted to add a name to the list.

There are some winning candidates up for the Head Coach position. There is absolutely no reason why the Greyhounds shouldn’t start building on a WINNING TRADITION. San Benito is one of two remaining one high school towns in the Valley. If we would just be smart enough to hire a winning coach and staff instead of hiring on the basis of “good looking”, “my compadres son”, and the ‘buddy-buddy” system. For once, the elected officials should do what is best for the Kids, the Program the Community, and the School District and stop doing things for their self interest. It is time San Benito starts BUILDING on a WINNING TRADITION! WINNERS BREED WINNERS lets start off on the right foot. If we keep doing what we have been doing we will continue getting what we have been getting……..NOTHING GOOD!

I would like to know who designed the survey questions for the AD/HC position.
Next time, please hire a professional software developer to create this survey instead of using this free surveymonkey. Who made this decision? I certainly hope it was not an SBCISD administrator. We, as taxpayers and parents, expect more from our district administrators!
When it is all said and done, it will not matter how many people completed the survey. I challenge the voters of San Benito to ask for the survey responses and comments. I will not be holding my breath for those documents because administrators do not know how to count to 10 (days… Public Request for Information Act).

I agree. I was expecting to write my comments. Instead I got a kinder quiz. They obviously didn’t want our comments voiced.

    1. To be fair, the district has always satisfied our requests in a timely manner. From processing, to legal, to administration, they’ve worked well with us over the years. It’s the City of Rio Hondo that we often encounter problems with, but we’re working to resolve that.

Since playoffs have expanded from 3 spots per district to 4 spots, statistically speaking the odds of making the playoffs have become greater for teams. Many fans would say that this is their main concern about the state of the San Benito Greyhounds football program. When Pena was here, he struggled making the playoffs and its no secret that Gantt struggled as well. Making the 4th playoff spot and saying “we made the playoffs” is not the same as winning district. Standards and expectations have fallen for the San Benito Greyhounds football program. I hope whoever comes in realizes that the 3rd or 4th playoff spot isn’t the standard, isn’t the bar, isn’t the expectation. Coaches and players should have the expectation of winning district and not be satisfied with just making the playoffs. I’m not discrediting the work put in by coaches and players, but making the playoffs with a 4-6 record is not acceptable. Every team has to face a hard schedule. Every team has a Goliath to face. But with the diligence, perseverance, faith, hard work, and dedication, David beat the giant. The San Benito Greyhounds football can too.

The board at PI was ready to give Monty the boot before this season. The pickings are slim for next season so I guess Monty is looking for some security….. He is not going to find it in greyhound land that is for sure…..

That is NOT a very impressive list at all the only guy that stands out is monty staumbaugh the are mediocre at best. Please don’t think that an old valley coach like a solis or cavasos are a good fit old stubborn mediocre coaches. Michael Mull you have got to be kidding me really that’s all I have to say about that one. No rudy gonzales will not be a good fit either 0-10 as a head coach don’t do it. .. judging from this list mediocrity is right around the corner AGAIN…I say monty but im sure that wont happen.
