MAKING PROGRESS: Consultant recommends broad AD search; 24 apply

Hound logoIf initial impressions are any indication, Champions Consulting appears to have gotten the proverbial ball rolling in the search for a new head football coach and athletic director in San Benito.

It was on Monday, Feb. 3, that the San Benito CISD Board of Trustees approved, via a 4-3 split vote, hiring Champions at a $10,000 flat rate—this after the firm’s predecessors, Rusty Dowling’s Tex-Coach Athletic Consulting, backed out of an $8,000 contract—to conduct the search for the Greyhounds new leader.

Good question Retired. Good question. Something worth looking into and being investigated don’t you think SBN?

Why was the portion, where Chuy made his comments deleted? He chose to speak in an open forum to inform the public. This was on the board meeting 2/11/14.

Selena, You are correct. The teachers in this district are doing a good job considering the LOW MORALE that is in SBCISD. Teachers go to work each day to provide the best education for our children. I am thankful for their work.

Enjoy the upcoming spring break educators. You certainly need the break from the leaders of SBCISD!

According to local sources, PSJA Memorial Head Coach Gus Cavazos is a Ram Truck kinda guy.

Is it just me…………Limon was hired with no superintendent experience= the worst ratings for five years……Gant was hired as AD with no head football experience in 5A= talent galore by having only one high school= mediocre seasons. Just last month two schools were rated unacceptable for year ago……Why would anyone want to elect people that hire inexperienced people for our children? The issue is the education and good instruction for them that is important. If your looking at personalities instead of accomplishments from the children, wake up because the only ones cheated are the children.

I teach in this district. This district has never had the worst ratings. This district has had the same scores and ratings as PSJA, and Harlingen and other region 1 districts. This district has always been acceptable or recognized during the past 20 years. So before you put down the many hard working teachers and students in this district get your facts right. You are following the example of the “Art of Lying” Chuy.
