Time is nearly up on San Benito CISD Interim Superintendent Dr. Ismael Cantu’s contract as the Board of Trustees must decide whether to keep his services while an investigation into the district’s suspended superintendent, Antonio G. Limón, remains ongoing.

A regular meeting of the San Benito CISD Board of Trustees is scheduled for 7 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 11 at the John F. Barron Administration Building, in which a closed discussion and possible action on Cantu’s contract is on the agenda.

I just love how Chuy and the Interim in response to the comments made by Chuy at the board meeting are working TOGETHER on continuing the investigation about the bus incident and the two children. According to Chuy, “We are gonna take care of that.” Are you serious?

Blanquita’s, thank you for your kind words, I appreciate it.

Flashback, thanks for the link. Honestly, I initially I had high hopes for the Board when the new, younger, energetic faces were sworn in, I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt.
Needless to say those high hopes were quickly zapped, which is shameful.

Political cronyism and carefully constructed systems throughout this maze make it almost certain that voting out the power brokers is not going to happen. Each aspect of this shallow universe operates with the confidence that this is their secret to keep. Often, corruption starts at the School Board level, with opportunist using this post for status and power rather than for the children.

Lots more for your reading pleasure …

Sharyland – released applicant names before hire
San Benito – yet to release applicant names

A SBCISD Board trend that dates back to YG joining board – delaying, procrastinating, and wasting anything and everything.
