EDINBURG – Among the hurrying and short-lived panic at Region One Education Service Center on Monday morning, San Benito-area coaches were among the most calm and collected.
As the UIL’s biennial realignment was unveiled just after 9 a.m., the packets in sealed boxes revealed what local coaches thought would happen. In other words, for the most part, the UIL got it right.
The San Benito Greyhounds were grouped in the new 32-6A, which means a return to the lower Valley and reunion with Harlingen, Harlingen South, Los Fresnos and Brownsville schools Hanna, Rivera, Lopez and Veterans Memorial.
