The San Benito Greyhounds JV light basketball team defeated Weslaco East on Monday.
The San Benito Greyhounds junior varsity light boys’ basketball team defeated the Weslaco East Wildcats on Monday night, 41-34.
In the first quarter, San Benito’s Damien Peña set the tone of the game by sinking his first basket, then Daniel Garcia chipped in eight points to end the first quarter with a tie on the scoreboard.
Moreover, Peña opened the third quarter with a three pointer.
