RIO HONDO – Cameron County Emergency Management Coordinator Humberto Barrera has confirmed a third arrest in the case involving two Rio Hondo volunteer firefighters who are accused of arson.
According to Barrera, Richard Guajardo, 18, was arrested at approximately 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 27, at Rio Hondo High School.
Guajardo, along with the volunteer firefighters in question, Daniel Davis and Alexander Benavidez, are accused of setting fire to a number of structures in the Rio Hondo area.
