District addresses 2011 TEA ratings

The Texas Education Agency has rated two San Benito CISD campuses academically unacceptable, according to data obtained from a previous school year, officials confirmed.

Miller Jordan Middle School and Veterans Memorial Academy both received academically unacceptable ratings, and on Friday, SBCISD Interim Superintendent of Schools Dr. Ismael Cantu defended the campuses, explaining that ratings are actually from the 2011 school year.

    You should read the editor’s reply on the other story. The San Benito News will not tolerate you calling Joe “sloppy”. It’s just not right. Make your point in a better manner.

    Where’s the accountability for these results. Let me guess, blame the 4 again. This is simply the results of Mr.Limon and Celeste being micro-managed by the previous board!! All you supporters of ( Mr.T, sloppy joe, Oscar, leal n de la fuente) you can pad yourselves on the for believe their lies.. We all make mistakes, so moving forward please vote smart and for the best interest of our children!! Medrano and Leal must go!!

    Maybe the board should reassign all faculty working at these schools and interims should be put in their place. Seems to be the flow of things nowadays.
