It all began as an idea that Greyhound superfan Sonia De La Cruz had that evolved into an all-out surprise in the form of a one-day adoption for San Benito resident Karina Gil’s family.
As a member of the San Benito Homerun Club, Sonia brought the idea of adopting the Gils, who are currently struggling to make ends meet, to the Greyhounds and coach Ramiro Partida.
