Nonprofit raises funds to address pet overpopulation

Brownsville Spay and Neuter is currently raising funds to help combat pet overpopulation, a concern shared throughout Cameron County.

The funds will be utilized for a number of projects which would help the area’s overflow of homeless animals. Edgar C. Treviño of BSN said pet overpopulation has remained Valley-wide, including communities such as San Benito, Rio Hondo and Los Fresnos.
