No action was taken Thursday at the special meeting of the San Benito Consolidated Independent School District Board of Trustees, who were expected to vote on whether suspended Superintendent of Schools Antonio G. Limón would be reinstated or if an interim superintendent would be appointed to replace Alfonso Obregón.

Another special meeting has been scheduled for 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26, in which trustees will again consider the appointment of an interim superintendent—this due to Obregón’s contract expiring Nov. 27—as well as the new interim superintendent’s salary and contract.

This a reply to all the non-sense. People should do their research before commenting so they won’t sound so ignorant. This Dr. Cantu was once hired as an educational consultant for two middle schools (which had unsatisfactory curriculum results). Celeste Sanchez as assistant superintendent handling curriculum and “very qualified”, why would she hire a consultant to do her work? Now that is a waste of taxpayers money.
Thanks to Medrano and Leal who allowed Celeste and Ljmon to waste our taxpayers dollars and they have never earned a paycheck. Our kids have been cheated and mislead by their lack of interest for the kids.

How does Chuy Aguilera manage to visit most of the SBCISD campuses and departments without ever having to have a Criminal Background Check? All vendors that spend time on campuses must have the CBC done by the human resource office. I guess Chuy is special. I wonder what would show up on his CBC? Wonder if our children are safe when he is around?

Nothing pertaining to this story but felt all had to know. While gassing up at the HEB on Morgan Boulevard, I notice a really nice black BMW pull up to gas. I like the car but then deflated after a heavy set man wearing all desert shirt, camo pants and boots get out of the car. You see, it was the father of that SBCISD board member, Aguilera. Yep, it was Jesse Aguilera gassing up in Harlingen. Aguilera still trying to play soldier? Then I thought, that”s a nice car and must have cost him a pretty penny? But, he can afford it. The other three voted to give him contracts with SBCISD because they are all followers of Y. Gonzalez.
While he was gassing up, the attendant came out to clean around the pumps. Well, here goes Aguilera with his slick tongue and starts making conversation. He talked with her awhile, all the time inquiring whether she was married or had a boyfriend. She tried to walk away but that slick tongue devil kept harping on her. He finally gave in and left in his shiny black BMW. Why would he have to gas in Harlingen? I’m sure that San Benito could use his tax dollars since those four spend it so carelessly? I’m sure that there are women in San Benito who might drool over his slick tongue antics?

ABOVE THE LAW!!!!!!!! That’s what Mrs. Ylliana Gonzalez must think she and her clan are, that even though the Interim Superintendent whom they hired and who recommended to them to hire Mrs. Sanchez as Interim Superintendent and then they do the opposite and hire someone else. If this doesn’t show everybody that this about a personal agenda and has never been about our children or the best interest of the district then I don’t know what is. Tell us Mrs. Gonzalez as I was one of the voters who voted for you and most your clan what is the reason to keep spending our taxpayer money like if it were a black check and why you ignored Mr. Obregon’s recommendation? Isn’t what’s good for the goose good for the gander? Even some people who voted for you are now seeing what you are doing. You are the President and remember when you ran you said there would be accountability and a new direction, well all this board has done is continue to spend taxpayer money like if you had been given a blank check. Money Mismangement is grounds for a board in the state of Texas if proven to be removed, you’re not untouchable like you think. To the other board members all I can say is that’s it’s time to start making wise individual decisions like you were voted for to do and on the oath you took and not to keep this board in gridlock or you will go down with the captain when the ship sinks and right now you’re in stormy weather!

Why didn’t the four take Obergon’ recommendation? Is this Celeste Sanchez not in the circle or is she a person who stands on her morals and that’s what the four don’t like? This Aguilera is quoted, “for the better of the school district.” Yet follows that leading Gonzalez on how to blow thousands of taxpayer dollars! I know that Mr. Limon wants to come back to work but what the hell! Those four gave a paid vacation, take advantage.
