RIO HONDO – The Rio Hondo Lady Bobcats volleyball team had high expectations going into the 2013 season, but a coaching shakeup right before the start of district play is credited for sending their season into a tailspin.
“I was the interim volleyball coach for the varsity,” said Coach Mary Salas. “When I took over at the beginning of the regular district season, they were 0-1. We ended up 4-4 overall.”
Salas was the Lady Cats freshman volleyball coach before assuming interim head coaching duties.
