Francisco Deleon, Sr.
SAN BENITO—Francisco DeLeon, Sr., 76, went to be with the Lord on September 16, 2013 at Valley Baptist Medical Center.
He was preceded in death by his mother Adela DeLeon, sister Eva Cortez and brother Jose DeLeon.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Irene P. DeLeon; brother Juan M. Garcia; sister Lily Ramirez; daughters Mary (Jose Luis) Garcia, Christine (Alfredo) Garcia, Belinda (Ernest) Leal; sons Rene (Olga) DeLeon and Francisco (Mary) DeLeon, Jr.; 17 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; numerous neices, nephews and a host of friends.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran who proudly and bravely served from Korea. He is deeply loved and will be truly missed. “Don’t worry about the motion of the Ocean, play it cool don’t be no fool”-Grandpa Pancho.
Visitation will be held today, Wednesday September 18, 2013 from 9 a.m. till 9 p.m., with a rosary recited from 7 p.m. at Henry Thomae Funeral Home, 701 N. Bowie, San Benito; (956) 399-9992.
