The City of San Benito is currently in the process of collective bargaining with the San Benito Police Employee Association for the upcoming fiscal year.
The city is also working to establish a pay structure for the San Benito Fire Department.
“Because the fire department does not have collective bargaining, we have to recognize their positions such as fire fighters, drivers, lieutenants and captains,” said City Manager Manuel Lara.
