San Benito city officials are making preparations for Tropical Storm Ingrid, which is expected to make landfall approximately 100 miles south of Brownsville.

While the storm is not expected to make landfall near the Rio Grande Valley, city officials are still taking every precaution for the abundance of rain and heavy winds which is anticipated to be in full force come Monday, Sept. 16.
