RIO HONDO – The Rio Hondo Independent School District is taking measures to ensure the safety of students who are dropped off and picked up from school by their parents.
In an effort to make their schools safer, Superintendent of Schools Ismael Garcia said that morning and afterschool traffic would no longer be mixed with parents and buses.
At the Rio Hondo High School, Elementary and Intermediate campuses, Garcia said parents are being asked to drop their children off at the back of the school to avoid traffic congestion.
