San Benito’s historic Stonewall Jackson Hotel is pictured weeks before the building’s owner closed it down last fall.

The San Benito Housing Authority has tabled any developments associated with the Stonewall Jackson building, for the time being.

According to SBHA Executive Director Arnold Padilla, the Stonewall Jackson operation has temporarily taken a backseat to other projects.

“For the moment, we’ve got other projects that are precedent to that. At the moment, we’ve got nothing at the table,” Padilla said on Thursday, Sept. 5.

The Clueless Director is merely a pawn in a bigger game. The puppet masters are a couple of his board members that have no integrity and are only promoting this project because it has the potential to line their pockets, (or their friends). Compadrismo is alive and well in San Bennie!
Don’t worry; things will get cranked up as soon as these people figure a way to make some money out of it.
I would question where they got the money to buy this distressed property in the first place, especially when they have a huge waiting list for people needing assistance. A scam in the making!
