The San Benito Greyhounds varsity football squad hit the ground running during the first day of practice on Monday in preparation for the 2013 season.

Footballs whizzed through the air, coaches barked instructions and 118 young men ran from drill to drill as the 2013 San Benito Greyhounds kicked off two-a-day workouts this week at Bobby Morrow Stadium.

Along with another 60 freshmen working out at Veterans Memorial Academy, numbers are high and so are hopes the ’Hounds can get back to the postseason after missing out last year despite a 6-4 overall record (4-4 District 31-5A).
