Nicholas Lerma, 60, of San Benito is seen Tuesday outside his residence on North Dick Dowling and East Rose Streets, a stretch of road he believes the City of San Benito should repair due to drainage concerns.

A citizen of San Benito is demanding answers about how his tax dollars are being spent in regards to street repairs.

Nicholas Lerma, 60, is upset about the condition of many of the streets in the city, particularly the intersection of North Dick Dowling Street and East Rose Street, where he resides.

According to Lerma, a retired truck driver, the city repaired the portion of Rose Street from North McCullough to North Dick Dowling, skipped a few blocks then continued with repairs.

I ALSO LIVE ON NORTH DICK DOWLING AND AGREE WITH MR. LERMA REGARDING OUR STREET! IT NEEDS LOT’S OF REPAIRS, AS DO MANY STREETS IN SB! I REALIZE OUR ELECTED CITY OFFICIALS HAVE MANY ISSUES TO DEAL WITH AND I CERTAINLY WOULDN’T LIKE TO BE IN THEIR SHOES, BUT, IT WOULD BE NICE IF…

  1. I went down Hidalgo and Diaz street and Jalomo was o where to be found. I had fun going AAAAA while bouncing on all the bumps and listening to my voice viiiibrate.

I agree with mr.lerma, when are these elected officials going to start working on these streets.. they’re too busy working for themselves. When they do ” fix” the streets they only do a poor job.. take Robertson st as an example… come election time don’t vote stupid back in or we’ll stay stuck in this pot hole.
