Why can’t we provide the football players, band, cheer and drill on Friday night during home games with at least a Whataburger. Oh I forgot we have to pay the jewelry selling principal over 84K to be in charge of four teachers and 29 students. It pays to be June Aguilera’s friend.

The only “interim leader” is Mr. Obregon. If something is not right it is his fault and the board president that is calling the shots. .. The superintendent wanna be.

I read that the interim blamed the moves on Ms.Sanchez, Mr. Franco, and Dr. Greer. Good move Mr. Interim don’t mention the four calling the shots……….

It is amazing how all these people have an opinion of the reassigned principals yet SBCISD has not printed any state scores. Mr. Editor, Can you share them please? They will be released officially by TEA August 8. Just call CELESTE SANCHEZ as she is in charge of curriculum. I am sure the Interim will approve it.

Mr. Wood is a terrible principal. Mr. Rodriguez, please do some investigative journalism at Riverside. I know for a fact that there are a vast number of teachers willing to speak out against their leadership. I take it Mr. Obregon gives in to cry babies?

Oldtimer you are absolutely right. It is PAYBACK. Gilbert was out campaigning for certain board members and those board members that now have control of the school board just by coincidence place him as a high school principal…right!!

FRParent! Are you just that plain ignorant?!?! Please open your eyes and see this for what it really is…

    It’s called… “PAYBACK”!!

In my opinion Gilbert Galvan is a great motivator, communicator, He would make a great P.R. person. He praises and encourages students well, relates with parents well. Maybe he should take that position Ms. Taubert is vacating, retire and reapply. Now I cannot mention about scores at his campus because I have not researched it. Maybe Mr. Aguilera can do a power point presentation in his defense at next board meeting. Note: I did not mention trust, commitment, loyalty, did I?

Hey FRParent, numbers don’t lie. Gilbert may stand in front of the school to greet kids and encourage them, bla, bla ,bla, BUT NUMBERS DON’T LIE!!! His scores were LOW, LOW, LOW, and yet, he got a promotion. Why? Its called PAYBACK!!! Check out your school scores and consider yourself lucky he’s gone. Poor VMA, now their scores will plummet.

Gilbert is a friend of Joe Hernandez and his wife. Let us not forget who’s behind the “Ghetto Four!”

  1. Before you start your silly little rants about Gilbert Galvan, maybe you should get your facts straight.
Gilbert Galvan has been a wonderful principal at Frank Roberts Elementary.
He goes above and beyond his duties and has made our little school and its students excel in all facets.
I would like for you to tell me of any other principal that stands outside every morning to greet each and every student, or any other principal that will ride the bus with his students to make sure they behave, or any other principal that makes each and every student believe they can and will go to college. Your ignorant comments don’t even deserve this response, but it is time for someone to shut you up and tell you to stop writing nonsense. San Benito is damn lucky to have him and Frank Roberts will be sad to lose him, but at least our babies will get to see him again in the future. Congratulations Mr. Galvan.

Who is the instructional leader at SBCISD? Certainly not the Interim Supt. Why you ask? Because Best Practice is NOT TO MAKE PRINCIPAL CHANGES IN LATE JULY! Someone PLEASE PLEASE give this man a book on how to run a district.
THE LACK OF PLANNING ON THESE NEW CHANGES is beyond ridiculous! So happy my children have graduated but I worry about my grand kids now. BRING BACK MR. LIMON. Those 4 board members need to be replaced by people who have some common sense and who attend trainings instead of shopping with all their family in tow. Sure hope they are not going to the state conference with district credit card.

In this article, Supt. Obregon says that Gilbert Galvan “shows strong abilities” and that he will have a “greater chance of success with the students”. Now I know he is just a political puppet for the “Ghetto four”. All employees know that Gilbert’s last campus had LOW STAAR SCORES IN THE DISTRICT!!!! And that is an elementary school. Imagine what he’ll do with a secondary school! So Mr. Obregon, just tell the truth…. You were told to give Gilbert that high paying job to pay him back for his help in getting Yliana and friends elected. You aren’t fooling anyone.
