RIO HONDO – When Coach Jose R. Guzman came to Rio Hondo 15 years ago, the Bobcats varsity boys’ team had gone through four coaches, each staying one year.
Tradition was only a word then.
Now after 15 seasons as the Rio Hondo High School Head Basketball Coach, Guzman has led the Bobcats to 12 playoff appearances, winning three area championships, nine bi-district titles and six district gold balls, and tradition is now more than just a word.
