The City of San Benito has implemented water restrictions as a result of worsening drought conditions.
“We are in Stage 2 of the Water Conservation Ordinance,” said Assistant City Manager Hector Jalomo. “It’s not as bad as we thought it was going to be because of the recent rains that we had here and some recent rains that happened north of us that brought in water to the Amistad Dam. That’s helped, but we’re not out of the woods yet unless we get more rain.”
