An arrest has been made in connection with a February case involving two men who were reportedly beaten with a wooden board in San Benito.
Detective Rogelio Banda Jr. of the San Benito Police Department stated in a press release Tuesday that the suspect in the case, 31-year-old Robert Rodriguez of San Benito, was apprehended at approximately 10:42 a.m. the day prior, Monday, May 13,
According to Banda, a police officer on patrol observed Rodriguez walking in the vicinity of the 500 block of North Sam Houston. Police said Rodriguez was wanted on two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, charges which stem from a February incident.
