Sosa scores Meet of Champions victories, Duenes places third

Esmer Sosa appears ready for a coronation.

As the San Benito Lady Greyhound varsity track team competed at the Meet of Champions on Friday, March 22 and Saturday, March 23, it appeared as though they were as well.

At the meet, which was held at Bobby Lackey Stadium in Weslaco, on Friday, March 22 and Saturday, March 23, Sosa placed first in the 100 meter dash with a time of 12.75 and first in the triple jump with a jump of 35’8”. She also competed in the 200 meter dash, placing third with a time of 2.20 and third in the long jump with a jump of 16’7 1/2”.
